Lemon Yellow, Tartrazine (E102)

Description

Tartrazine is a synthetic lemon yellow azo dye primarily used as a food colouring. Can be used to colour bath salts, bath bombs, melt and pour soap and lip balms. Not suitable for cold process soap manufacture or gel candles

It is also known as E number E102; in cosmetics it is usually labelled as CI 19140 or FD&C Yellow 5. Other names are Acid Yellow 23 and Food Yellow 4
