Castile Hand and Body wash

Description

Our Castile Hand and Body wash is made with Australian sourced Olive and regional Coconut oil and does not contain harsh foaming ingredients such as SLS or SLES. This clear golden coloured liquid soap can be used as is or diluted as required; should you choose to dilute this product it will require additional preservative to be added.  Castile Soaps are the mildest and most moisturising of all soap bases, they are mild and gentle enough to use on a baby’s skin. This castile soap type has origins dating back thousands of years and is also known under the name of Marseille soap . It has stayed popular all this time due to it’s versatility.  Please note that Castile Hand and Body wash has a mild detergent added so it will produce a lather which is missing from the standard castile based soaps. It is a great mild natural soap based alternative to the more commonly used synthetic petroleum based surfactant products.

Applications:

it can be used as a soap substitute to clean the following;

• • • Skin  eg Body wash
    • Hand wash
    • Pet shampoo

NOTE: During Cold Weather it is possible for castile to turn a little cloudy and increase viscosity. Gently heating to 30-40C and re-mixing should bring the product back to clarity.

Recommendations: A natural liquid soap that can be scented with essential or fragrance oils or coloured to suit your cosmetic manufacturing needs.

When fragrancing this product please take care when using a fragrance/ essential oil for the first time as each one can react differently with this product. Some will make the mix  significantly thicker, while others will make it thinner.  To reduce the viscosity of the blended fragranced product  add more base to bring it back to the previous state.

Starting with a small amount and adding the fragrance of your choice is the best idea so you can see how the fragrance of your choice reacts. Start with 0.1-0.25% and increase carefully until you are happy with the results. Allow to stand for 24 hours before making your final decision.
