Horsetail 1:2 is a mineral‑rich botanical extract containing silica, flavonoids, and saponins. It is widely used in cosmetic formulations for its strengthening, toning, and conditioning properties. Silica supports improved skin and hair resilience, while flavonoids provide antioxidant protection.

Mode of Action, silica contributes to improved firmness and structural support, making horsetail useful in anti‑aging and firming formulations. Saponins provide mild cleansing and purifying effects, while flavonoids help protect against oxidative stress.

Formulation guidelines:

Water‑soluble; incorporate into the water phase below 45 °C. Works well with nettle, rosemary, and burdock in strengthening systems.

Use level: 1–5%.
